Now, most of us Karl fans knows that our boy has a penchant for picking terrible movies because he has a thing for scifi/fantasy. Hence why he ended up in stuff like 'The Truth about Demons', 'Pathfinder', 'DOOM' (yes I know he looks hot in it, but you gotta admit it's still TERRIBLE), etc... etc.

Anyways, instead of complaining about his movie choices, I think we should help him out a bit.

PETER JACKSON OPTIONED THIS ENTIRE SERIES WITH HIS OWN GODDAMN MONEY THE MOMENT IT CAME OUT, IT IS CURRENTLY SITTING ON HIS TODO LIST and it's been implied that he does want to be the one to direct this series of 5 books. (see here)

I'm going to the San Diego ComicCon this year and I'm going to see if I can ask Peter Jackson about the status of this project.

What I'm asking the rest of you bbs is: If any of you find another convention that Karl is going to appear at or if for some reason you come across him. Please either bring this series up to him or just toss him the damn book and tell him to start reading if he wants to work Peter again. That and tell him to start working on his English accent.

I've been to so many damn thrift stores, looked at Ebay, looked through various sites with tons of mens fashion apparel.. but I can't find Karl Urban's delicious v-neck sweater vest thing. D: D: Why cant it be as easy as finding a ZQ fug hat!!! Argh.

So I'm in Atlantic City with my mom, and we went to Caesar's last night for dinner. Where I saw this:

This slot is crazy. It shows clips, you have tribble mini games, and it doesn't make much sense, but I had fun pushing buttons and get fucking distracted by pictures of Kirk and Spock.

And my mom saw the movie for the first time with me on Friday, she and my dad were old school Trek Fans (they did not go to conventions, but they loved the show). SHE LOVED IT. She said it was amazing to see the characters become who they were meant to be.

Uhura was sitting at the cafe, humming gently to herself. She'd spend the day before teaching some of the local children how to sing, and it had put her in a good mood. She sat, sipping a capuccino, enjoying the relaxed feeling round about her.

Geordi couldn't help but notice her humming, and smiled to himself. Of course he'd figured out just who she was quickly - one of Captain Kirk's crew members! The engineer ordered a coffee, keeping an eye on her, wondering if he should introduce himself, but decided against it. There would be other times. He sat down outside, watching people go past, wishing his VISOR worked better.
