Have managed to work out how to get to Lewisham on Saturday - very easily as it turns out! It's like 15 minutes on the train from where we're staying. So I'm almost definitely going to see Special Benny, unless I suddenly chicken out but I will not let myself do that. Mathew Baynton was adorable when he tweeted to tell me where the gig was. I believe his exact words were 'the arse-end of Lewisham but if you like our music do come.'

I'm still worried about Dave and really really hope everything's getting sorted with him, but I'm sure the management could have said something before now.

Also the ticket agency were really good and emailed M today to say the hotel could be cancelled if he phoned before 4pm today, but having paid over £100 for train tickets with were non-refundable we've decided to go!

I'm now on the Special Benny myspace and dear God Mathew does the vocals and he has such a beautiful voice, I'm actually worried I may burst into tears at some point. Still that's better than getting drunk and making a twat of myself in front of him. Of course both are fairly possible if not downright likely!

Part of me's starting to think it'll be easier if DM is cancelled on Saturday. Just found out the tube to the O2 isn't even running on the night, so we have to work out how to get there. Also managed to find out where Special Benny are playing and where there's a DM night on.

My next plan is to have a drinkie and try to find out how to get to Lewisham, and hopefully not get arrested.

Fun fun!

worried

current mood: worried

Getting increasing worried about both Dave Gahan and the possibility of seeing Depeche Mode on Saturday. there are all sorts rumours flying around, one of which is that London will be cancelled, so I'm now trying to line up something else because I'd rather not go all the way to London for no reason at all.

Is anything happening this Staurday in London. Something good which people on my flist will be going to? I really hope it doesn't come to this but...fuck.

The worse thing is the London date being cancelled is the better news in the article I've written which is full of vague! But not enough vague to stop me feeling physically sick.

Bollocks!

Trying to write and partly learn the new Depeche Mode songs ready for Saturday. It's not going terribly well. I should probably do one or the other really.

current song: John the Revelator- Depeche Mode

Finally booked train tickets for London at the end of the month. Now we just need the tickets for the gig itself and we're sorted! The hotel that comes with the package looks pretty nice too which is a good thing.

Like I said yesterday though - worse thing comes to the worse I'll just go and see MB's band playing. I have come to the conclusion I'd rather see Depeche Mode though. Of course I have Maximo Park before that!

*is contemplating writing fic based on DM songs, possibly all of them, with the exception of instrumentals and possibly b-side*

I blame Virgin Media for having 4 pages of DM songs and documentarys on their music on demand section.

You don't even want to know what else I'm considering.

Oh close up of Dave's crotch, fuck me that's nice!

I'm seeing IAMX in Sheffield and Manchester now! Because I have the best boyfriend in the history of the world evah!

I'm also going to see Depeche Mode in December, which I don't think I mentioned. I've been a bit out of it lately tbh.

blah

current mood: blah

I did have plans to drink vanilla vodka tonight, only I've not felt great and am ridiculously tired. I might actually end up getting an early night, which is a bit depressing on my birthday :(

Today has been mostly uneventful. I got a Sneaker Pimps album, and Suzy's doing some of the female vocals on it, which makes me all kind of happy, I have a shit load of Lush stuff, all things I've never used before, so that's excellent and two of the products were things I'd been thinking 'ohh I'd like to buy that soon' just yesterday! I also have a wireless router now, and some Urban Decay eyeshadows coming from my sister and finally, but definitely not least - TICKETS TO SEE DEPECHE FUCKING MODE!!!! That's right, M yet again proved himself to be awesome by presenting me with the confirmation letter from some company (whom he checked out before hand, thank god!) for lower tier DM tickets and a hotel! I seriously can't wait. I could not have missed Depeche Mode this year. I mean on the last tour I saw them in Paris, that's how much I love them.

Thank you to everyone for the birthday messages, tis appreciated.

So this year's Comic Relief song is basically a bunch of slags in their underwear covering...and it's too horrible to comprehend - Depeche Mode! I mean really isn't enough do not want in the world for how much I don't want this. The video is just so tacky. I remember the days when Comic Relief songs used to be funny and have comedy people in them! Now it's a bunch of slutty 18 year olds shitting all over my favourite band!

I'm sure Vince Clarke's only given them permission to do the song to stick two fingers up at Mart. He'd never stoop this low, I'm sure of it.

drunk

current mood: drunk

So I was just very grudgingly accepting I might miss DM on this tour, the very idea makes me want to cry and scream and the only way I'll be okay on that day is if I go out and drink lots of alcohol and dance but then someone was selling a DM top on a comm I'm in and M was sat next to me and I'd had a glass of wine so well I sort of 'suggested' be might like to look on eBay for tickets for my birthday because it's Depeche Mode people! I can't miss them I just can't!

Of course it'll be a nightmare leaving the arena cos OMG 16000+ people all getting on the same tube, so not cool! But I coul try and save so we could get a taxi or something and findwhere closer to the arena than last time!

*really has to do this*

Also I'm seeing the Boosh again in like 20 hours, yayz!!!!!!!!
